Send joy to our troops overseas to show our appreciation.
We are collecting items from November 19th until further notice.
Drop off items to the Avon Police Department.
PLEASE GIVE:
FOOD and SNACKS: coffee, instant drink mixes, gum, candy, granola bars, dry soup, cookies, cereal
TOILETRIES: liquid hand sanitizer, body wash, shampoo & conditioner, deodorant, tissues, toothbrushes
OTHER: DVDs, batteries, Day planners, crossword puzzles, board games, holiday decorations
K-9 Items: dry dog food, toys
Cards and Letters
SORRY, WE CANNOT ACCEPT these items:
HOME-BAKED FOOD
GLASS BOTTLES or GLASS JARS
AEROSOL CANS or SPRAYS
CANNED FOOD
LIGHTERS, MATCHES or LIGHTER FLUID
VHS TAPES or CASSETTE TAPES
Our collection will directly go to GIVE 2 THE TROOPS who then will package items and send overseas. Since December 2002, GIVE 2 THE TROOPS has supported approximately ONE MILLION deployed U.S. troops with loving care packages and letters from all over the nation. They have sent more than 86,000 enormous boxes and more than 20 million letters and cards from caring citizens.
