Vacationing with the Avon Senior Center

Avon Senior Center is going on vacation and we want you to join us!!!!  Come to our scheduled slideshow presentations about our upcoming trips.  We are looking forward to some fantastic places & we want you to come with us!!!!  

Dial-a-Ride Day Trips

These trips are on a first come basis and seating is limited, so please sign up early.  Please call 860-693-6876 to reserve your seat and sign up.  These trips are sponsored by Avon Social Services and Avon Senior Center along with our Dial-a-Ride provider, Martel.

“Jonah”
 
Millennium Sight & Sound Theater in Lancaster, PA presents “Jonah” from April 23-24, 2012.
   This is a 2 day trip!!!  We will travel to Bethlehem, PA, known as “Christmas City” and visit the Sands Casino where each person gets a $35.00 Casino Bonus.  Lodging will be at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Reading.  There will be a private Wine & Cheese Reception followed by a sit down dinner and live musical comedy show.  The 2nd day, we will enjoy a full hot breakfast buffet followed by a visit to an Amish quilt shop, the Intercourse Cannery and Kitchen Kettle gift shops.  Then we will be on to the SHOW!!!!!!  Meet the biblical Jonah….Experience the mighty storm at sea that breaks apart an enormous ship…Peer into the underwater world and see the giant fish swallow up God’s misguided Prophet Jonah….There will be magnificent stage sets that practically encircle the audience as well as many live animals on stage.  After the show, we’ll stop for dinner (pay on your own) and return home.
Cost: $281.00 each in Double Room, $271.00 each in Triple & $331.00 Single
Depart: 7 a.m.
Return ETA: 10:45 p.m.

Calling all senior men and women of Avon...come to the Senior Center on Thursday morning for pool, poker and camaraderie. Meet some great people and enjoy the friendly atmosphere of the Senior Center.
