Notice is hereby given to all persons liable for payment to the Town of Avon of property taxes on the Grand List of October 1, 2008, that the Second Installment payment is due and payable January 1, 2010. After February 1, 2010, interest will be charged on the installment due from January 1, 2010, at the rate of one and one-half percent per month, or fraction thereof, (subject to a minimum interest charge of two dollars on each delinquent bill) as prescribed by law.
Notice is also given to all persons liable for payment to the Town of Avon of Motor Vehicle Property Taxes on the Supplement to the Grand List of October 1, 2008 that payment is due and payable January 1, 2010. After February 1, 2010 interest will be charged as prescribed by law.
The General Statutes of the State of Connecticut, which apply to the levy and collection of property taxes will be enforced against all persons neglecting this notice.
The Office of the Collector of Revenue will be open in the Town Hall, 60 West Main Street, Monday through Friday, 8:30 A.M. TO 4:30 P.M., and closed January 18, 2009 in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
